Friends and Neighbors of the Deschutes Canyon Area (FANs) invites you to take a visual tour of the Middle Deschutes and Lower Crooked River canyons through the eyes of landscape photographer and FANs member Tom Iraci. This Lens on Learning program will feature Iraci’s striking photos and videos, as well as insights on capturing the area’s natural beauty through photography.
For many of us who live at Crooked River Ranch, the stunning public land surrounding us may have been a primary factor in moving here. If you are new to the area or if you haven’t been able to hike all the amazing trails nearby, this program is for you.
If you are a budding photographer and would like to learn more, this program is for you.
If you just love great landscape photography, this program is for you.
Tom Iraci uses his camera to capture the wonders of nature in central Oregon. Many of his photos were taken from trails around Crooked River Ranch. He will share many of these photos with you, as well several videos he has created for FANs.
Mona Steinberg, a former FANs board member, will also be on hand to provide information about the trail system.
Tom’s unique photographic perspectives have been developed over his long career as a professional photographer. He loves to help others improve their photography skills and will be eager for your questions.
Tom has been been practicing landscape photography for well over fifty years. Thirty of those years were with the US Forest Service as an Audio Visual Production Specialist. In that capacity, he served as a staff photographer, videographer and audio visual producer of slide presentations and videos. He and his wife Barbara Kennedy are longtime residents of Crooked River Ranch.
