Deschutes Canyon Area Golden Eagle Nest Surveys

​Friends and Neighbors of the Deschutes Canyon Area (FANs) volunteers help survey golden eagles as part of Oregon Eagle Foundation's 10-year survey of golden eagles nesting in Oregon.   During February through May, FANs volunteers are observing nesting areas to determine how many are occupied by breeding pairs. From May through July, nesting areas are revisited to determine nesting outcome and age of eaglets. Our results are shared with Oregon Eagle Foundation.  You can learn more about Oregon Eagle Foundation at oregoneaglefoundation.org.
